Salzburg: City of Mozart and stage of the world

Salzburg, the city situated on the river ‘Salzach’ belonged in the beginning
of the 19th Century together with the ‘Rupertiwinkel’ (in which Ruhpolding is
ocated) for a few years to Bavaria. At this time the most famous son,
Johann Amadeus Mozart was already about 20 years no longer among the
living.

You can visit his birth house at the famous ‘...alley’ and the fortress
‘Hohensalzburg’ plus the former summer palace (maison de plaisance)
‘Hellbrunn’, known for its trick fountains. Appropriately, a part of the
original site is now used by the ‘Salzburg Zoo’.

It is marvellous to stroll through the old town in Salzburg and to relax in cafes,
although the 150,000 native of Salzburg are living only a 30 minutes drive from
Ruhpolding.
